Many South Korean block producers have joined in voting in EOS, propelling the Bithumb cryptocurrency exchange to one of the top 50 places.
EOS uses a voting system, called approval voting. The top 21 block producer candidates can produce blocks. The block producer candidates are elected by the total number of votes received.
In the EOS ecosystem, foreigners, including Chinese, have so far played a dominant role.
Korea controls 10 percent of the EOS votes. Bithumb holds the largest EOS votes among South Korean companies.
Bithumb members would get rewards for their voting. Bithumb would hold a monthly airdrop event for its members.
