Tourcom has taken over the major stakes of tourism information sharing site Wishbeen.
Tourcom said the takeover is part of its drive to establish a blockchain-based database. It seeks to combine blockchain and artificial intelligence to provide timely information to travelers.
Tourcom said it would launch the beta version of Tourcom Global by the end of this year for a formal launch early next year.
Wishbeen is a content commerce service provider. It enables contributors to share profit when their travelogues accrue income. It also provides information through its app.
Wishbeen has accumulated 400,000 travel stories for the past ten years. Tourcom has 130,000 members, while Wishbeen has 410,000 members.
Both Tourcom and Wishbeen would provide tokens to users uploading their travel stories. The two companies expect their services to become global.
