On July 27, SIX Network, Korean blockchain-based advertisement trading platform, announced that it can swap(convert) existing Stellar-based SIX tokens to Klaytn starting 29th of July.
SIX Network explained the swap progress, saying that it is necessary to secure the compatibility by converting Stellar base token ECHO, the copyright management platform token run on Klaytn blockchan, and tokens on snap application to Klaytn.
The swap ratio of SIX Token is 1:1. You can download the ‘Six Swap’ app from Google Play and App Store for swapping, or through token swapping website. However, swapping is possible in only one platform.
SIX Network said, “To ensure if token swap is done properly, we must make sure that the blockchain address we are sending and the user’s wallet addresses are the same. Please note that once swapped, Klaytn-based tokens cannot be swapped back to Stellar-based tokens.”
SIX Network is currently listed on exchanges such as Bittrex, CPDAX, and Liquid. Stellar lumen-based tokens are traded on all of the above exchanges. On the other hand, tokens swapped to Klaytn were listed on Coinone exchange on the 17th of July. Since the base of the token was different in previously listed exchanges, token transfer between exchanges was impossible. SIX Network will announce the swap schedule later this month.
In order to swap tokens, you need Klaytn wallet address. If you do not have a wallet address, you can use the Klaytn Wallet site, Klip of KakaoTalk, etc., and other exchange wallets such as Coinone.
Once you get the wallet address, access the SIX Token swap homepage or app, press ‘Token Swap’ and enter the information required. Then, you can enter the Klaytn wallet address to receive the swapped token and the Stellar-based SIX Token address to be swapped to complete swap. When the swap is done, the Klaytn-based SIX Token is transferred to the user’s Klaytn wallet address. Token swap is expected to take 2-3 days.
