On September 10, Saramin HR, operated by Saramin, a job search matching platform, announced that it will introduce blockchain based recruitment service for the first time in Korea.
Earlier this year, Saramin HR signed a ‘MOU for building a digital ID ecosystem based on blockchain technology and promoting joint business’ with Iconloop, a blockchain specialist. As a result of the collaboration, Saramin will sequentially apply Iconloop’s blockchain technology to its own ‘final interview report forgery prevention service’, ‘distributed ID-based certificate forgery prevention service’, and ‘testee offline test attendance check service’.
Saramin guarantees the transparency of scoring results through the “Final Interview Report Forgery Prevention Service”. This is a service that makes it impossible to change the scoring results later by recording the scoring results generated during the recruitment test process under Saramin in real time on the blockchain. Both companies expected that “the service will greatly contribute to creating a transparent hiring process.”
Saramin plans to significantly improve the reliability of the certificate and the convenience of the submission process through the ‘Distributed ID-based certificate forgery prevention service’ using the Iconloop’s My ID platform-based DID service ‘Zzeung’ and the certificate service ‘Broof’. When submitting necessary certificates at the job application stage, information is stored in the blockchain to prevent forgery and alteration, and the existing hassle of having to print multiple documents one by one and register one for each file can also be solved.
In addition, it implements the certification of candidates for the recruitment test through the ‘offline test attendance check service for candidates’. Through the application of blockchain DID technology, it is planned to make it possible to make a quicker and more convenient attendance confirmation by verifying the eligibility of the test taker with a QR code. In addition, it plans to strictly limit irregularities such as proxy tests that may occur at the recruitment test site. Iconloop DID-based qualification authentication service “VisitMe” will be applied to this service.
Saramin and Iconloop plan to open the service sequentially until December, starting with the “Final Interview Report Forgery Prevention Service” in September.
