Victims of cryptocurrency investment have an easy way of reporting the crimes to the prosecution.
They can go to the online homepage of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office and enter their personal information, including contact mobile phone numbers and email address, and details of their loss. They can summarize their loss in fiveWs (where, where, when, why and what) and one H (how). The victims can upload captured pictures and recorded voice communication as evidence.
In about three to four days, the prosecutor will contact the victims for investigation. Communicating with the prosecution is the most effective way. Posting complaints in online chatting room may be useful for a class action suit. Hiring a lawyer may be costly.
Foreigners can also file their complaints with the South Korean prosecution if they use the English homepage of the prosecution.
The Block Media is also accepting tips from victims of the cryptocurrency fraudsters.
