Blockchain projects are cropping up daily in South Korea, but Korea lacks in the workforce to develop the state-of-art blockchain technologies.
Especially, blockchain program code developers, technically called developers of solidity, and hyperledger composers, are in short supply. Many companies are hunting for these developers.
Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technology. It is a global collaboration initiated by Linux Foundation, including ledgers in finance, Internet of Things, supply chain, manufacturing, and technology.
Solidity is a contract-oriented programming language for writing smart contracts. It is used for implementing smart contracts on various blockchain platforms.
Korean universities and research centers have yet to open classes to foster developers of these technologies which became popular just two to five years ago.
Holders of such technologies establish their shops and become developers and owners, a market watcher said. Alternatively, these technology holders go to high-paying big companies.
