The Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Association is to establish a research institute dealing with public policy.
The association said the institute would identify the areas blockchain can be used for upgrading public service. It would provide the government with the report so that it could use blockchain in public services.
The government has picked six blockchain model projects. They include tracking history of livestock, customs clearance, property transaction, online voting, e-document exchange between countries and monitoring cross-border logistics.
The association said it would identify more blockchain areas that the government can use for public services.
