The South Korean government Wednesday unveiled 12 pilot blockchain projects for 2019.
Each project would get 600 million won from the government.
The projects will open to all companies and successful applicants would complete the assigned projects by Dec. 17 next year. Application deadline is Feb.11.
The Ministry of Science and ICT held an explanation session Wednesday in Seoul, together with the Korea Internet Security Agency, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Institute for Information and Telecommunications Promotion.
The government picked the 12 projects out of the 400 applications the government agencies submitted.
The 12 projects include the blockchain-based platforms platform for national archives; proposals and evaluations for military equipment; military petitions; disaster warning systems; medical and financial integrated services; hourly worker protection system; hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP); electronic mail post office box system; used batteries tracking system; recyclable energy management system and certified emission reduction management.
