A South Korean company Tuesday unveiled its plan to become a blockchain-based Amazon by 2022.
The company Luniverse will soon make a formal launch as a subsidiary of the Lamda256, the research arm of the Dunamoo. Dunamoo is the relevant company of South Korea’s most popular online chat site operator Kakao.
Luniverse is dedicated to providing a blockchain-based Amazon Web Service, according to Luniverse CEO Park Jae-hyun.
Amazon is one of the fast-growing American company that sells everything for everyone through its cloud service. It started in the late 1990s as an online e-book seller Kindle. In the fourth quarter of last year, Amazon posted $7,430 million in sales, up 46 percent from the same period in 2017.
Luniverse has been working with 70 startup companies to create a blockchain-based ecosystem. It plans to issue 10 billion tokens called Luk. Luk will be used in settling bills at the DApp store and Luniverse market place.
