The blockchain project, which raised capital through the initial coin offering for the first time in South Korea, has been in internal dispute. The BOScoin is divided between the BOS Platform Foundation and the Blockchain OS.
A group of investors and BlockchainOS employees held a protest rally on March 28 at the Supreme Court of Korea.
They accused the BOS Platform Foundation executives of embezzlement. They also claimed the foundation’s contract termination with BlockchainOS is null and void because it was unilateral and unlawful.
The protestors demanded BOS Platform Foundation Chairman Kim In-hwan and director Serge Komaromi to resign and face criminal investigation for alleged corruption and embezzlement.
They said Blockchain OS executives and employees are in financial difficulty because the two are attempting to transfer the funds invested in developing the BOS Platform to BPF Korea and Xtremer. Kim In-hwan is reportedly the actual owner of the two companies.
The protestors claimed that Kim is committing a breach of trust, and Serge is an accomplice in the crime.
They also claimed the two arbitrarily stopped providing funds to BlockchainOS from this year, pushing it to bankruptcy. On March 15, the two terminated the contract with BlockchainOS.
They urged the two to provide details on how they use 20 billion won in assets.
They also accused Swiss law firm MME of working for the two ‘criminal suspects.’
BlockchainOS would continue to create a network of the decentralized blockchain.
