Nexen founder Jay Kim invested in U.S. cryptocurrency brokerage Tagomi late last year.
Tagomi has recently got a cryptocurrency brokerage license from the financial regulator in New York.
Nexen confirmed the investment but did not want to disclose details about the investment.
The investment came after the world’s famous online game founder Nexen took over South Korea’s cryptocurrency exchange Korbit in September 2017.
Last October, he took over the European exchange Bitstamp
The three companies in which Jay Kim invested have one thing in common. They are fee-generating cryptocurrency exchanges and brokers.
Korbit, Bitstamp, and Tagomi also have one thing in common. They are the first in cryptocurrency brokerage.
Jay Kim is a legendary figure who made Nexen the No.1 online game portal in South Korea. He founded Nexen in 1994.
He had surprised investors when he announced the sale of Nexen. Bidding has been under way for the new owner
Many analysts speculate that Jay Kim’s next focus might be blockchain after selling Nexen.
