The KEB Hana Bank started its Hana Money service in Taiwan this week, enabling its customers to use its blockchain-based digital payment system in buying goods.
The maximum settlement limit is $600 per user, available at the Everrich duty-free shops and Taiwan night markets.
The bank is to expand its franchises in Taiwan so that South Korean travelers would not need to convert currencies for shopping there.
The bank would open the service in Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand shortly.
