ASEAN customs services leaders discussed ways of blockchain technology in trade.
Korea Customs Service (KCS) Commissioner Kim Young-moon met with his 10 ASEAN counterparts in Laos Tuesday.
In their annual meeting, they exchanged opinions on ways of using e-country of origin documents and link blockchain to customers clearance and train customs officials, according to the KCS.
ASEAN countries reportedly asked Korea to provide technology on e-commerce trading and blockchain technologies.
Once Seoul accepts their proposal, many South Korean blockchain developers could do business in the regional market, which is Korea’s second largest export market.
