The Seoul prosecution Wednesday indicted three executives of the three firms, including cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb for leaking customer information. The other two accused companies are accommodation arrangement site Goodchoice and Hana Tour.
They have been undergoing investigation for neglecting the customer information protection in 2017. Bithumb was charged with leaking 31,000 customer information. About seven billion won in 243 customer accounts were hacked.
Hackers took away Goodchoice’s 3.23 million cases of reservation information. Hackers also retrieved 70,000 customer information.
The prosecution said the companies were responsible for the leakage of the customer information.
